Research focuses typically encapsulate our project work. Projects with aligned and willing clients/communities are test beds for theories of change that we’ve attended to and developed to over time.

Summarised loosely; our research themes explore means of localising the economics of place, and draw much inspiration from the work of David Fleming, who mapped out myriad pathways from the present to ‘local lite’ and ‘deep local’ scenarios in the future - against a backdrop of social, political and climatic challenges - in his book; ‘Lean Logic’.
